Biography
Dr. Mark Fernando Tweedie Spadoni joined the Faculty of Medicine at the Lutheran University of Brazil in Rio Grande do Sul in 1996. In 2004, he joined the neurosurgery residency at Santa Monica Clinic, a service accredited by the Brazilian Society of Neurosurgery and the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies in the city of Goiânia under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Jose Edison da Silva Cavalcante. In 2007, he joined NRI - Interventional Neuroradiology, where he received training from Dr. Elias Fouad Rabahi techniques in diagnostic neuroradiology and therapy. He remained until the end of 2009, when he concluded the 2-year training recommended by SBNRDT - Brazilian Society of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Neuroradiology. He performed a Clinical Observer at one of the largest neurosurgery departments in the United States, the Barrow Neurological Institute (BNI), co-authored by Prof Robert Spetzler in 2007. He is head of the Neurosurgery Service of the Emergency Hospital of Goiânia - HUGO and Coordinator of the Neurovascular Unit of Encore.
